Accrue is a personal investment portfolio tracker. This policy explains
what information the app collects, why, and the control you have over it.
We've kept it plain and specific — no boilerplate that doesn't apply to us.
01 — Who we are
About Accrue
Accrue ("Accrue", "we", "us") is an application that lets you track your
own investments — stocks, crypto, ETFs and commodities, alongside cash
accounts, investment properties, dividends and price alerts. You enter
and own your data; the app helps you make sense of it.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at
contact@tryaccrue.app.
02 — What we collect
Information we collect
We collect only what's needed to run the app for you:
Account details. Your email address, used to create
and secure your account. Your password is handled by our authentication
provider and stored in encrypted form — we never see or store it in plain text.
Portfolio data you enter. The holdings on your
watchlist, your buy/sell/dividend trade history, cash account balances,
investment property values, price alerts, and your preferences (theme,
display currency, benchmark, and onboarding status).
To show live prices and charts, the app sends the ticker symbols you're
tracking to third-party market-data providers. These requests don't
include your name, email, or account identity.
03 — What we don't do
What we never collect or do
No bank or brokerage logins. You enter your trades
manually. Accrue never asks for, connects to, or stores your bank or
brokerage account credentials.
No analytics or tracking. Accrue contains no
third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We don't profile
you or follow you across other apps and websites.
No selling or sharing. We do not sell, rent, or
share your personal information with data brokers or advertisers. Ever.
No location, contacts, or device tracking. The app
doesn't access your location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers
for tracking.
04 — How we use it
How we use your information
To provide the core service: storing your portfolio and showing your
performance, insights, and dividend forecasts.
To sync your data across your devices when you're signed in.
To deliver the price alerts you choose to set up.
To secure your account and keep the service working reliably.
05 — Storage & security
How your data is stored and protected
Your account and portfolio data are stored with Supabase,
our database and authentication provider, and the app is hosted via
Vercel. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections
(HTTPS), and access is protected by per-account security rules so that
your records are only accessible to you when signed in.
No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we
take reasonable measures to protect your information and work only with
providers who maintain strong security practices.
06 — Third parties
Third-party services we rely on
Accrue depends on a small number of infrastructure providers:
Supabase — secure database storage and account authentication.
Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
Market-data providers — live and historical prices for the symbols you track.
Apple — app distribution through the App Store.
These providers process data only to perform their function for Accrue.
We don't share your information with anyone for marketing or advertising.
07 — Your control
Your rights and choices
Access & correction. Your data is visible and
editable inside the app at any time.
Deletion. You can delete your account and all
associated data directly within the app. Once deleted, your data is
removed from our systems and cannot be recovered.
Questions or requests. Email us at
contact@tryaccrue.app and we'll help.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws
such as the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or the
Australian Privacy Act. We honour those rights for all users.
08 — Retention
How long we keep your data
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you
delete your account, your personal data and portfolio records are removed
from our active systems.
09 — Children
Children's privacy
Accrue is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly
collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has
provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10 — Changes
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Accrue evolves. When we do, we'll revise the
"Last updated" date above, and significant changes will be communicated
within the app where appropriate.
